It is true that the external landscape of Tibet is beautiful beyond belief. It is true that a journey of this magnitude is strenuous and long-suffering. It is also true that this kind of journey is life-altering.

After spending time as far out of your comfort zone as you can possibly imagine or think you can endure, wonderful things begin to happen. Sleep deprivation, bad food, zero creature comforts, lack of showers, warm water, and clean bathroom facilities, effects of altitude, freezing cold and living up-close-and-personal with several strangers, definitely stresses you in ways you never thought of before.

But out of that stress and severe tempering, tolerance, patience, compassion, acceptance and love begin to take root and even bloom inside the recesses of your heart and mind. A deep sense of what truly matters in life, and who you truly are become reality, your truth. Habitual ways of being in the world, ways that may even define who you think you are (i.e. modest, proper, right, intelligent, talented, etc.), begin to drop away, much like the shedding of a snake’s skin. You are left with more clarity, a vision unobscured by the veils of false importance. Your internal landscape forever changes for the better.

So our work now has become clear: to help the Tibetan people by sounding a yak horn and shining a light on the situation in Tibet through our music. Peace and happiness is our prayer for Tibetans and all sentient beings everywhere.

Lyrics

May all the beings in this world, and in all other worlds, be/peaceful and happy.

May all the beings in this world, and in all other worlds, be peaceful and happy.

May all the beings in this world, and in all other worlds, be peaceful and happy.

Om, Shalom, Shanti, Paz; Peace, Peace, Peace.
